Princess Voluptia

You are Princess Voluptia daughter of the King Pinical of Regalia and High Priestess of Floria (Magha of Flowers). When he ordered his army, led by two of your brothers, to join the Lawic host at Chogard, you accompanied it. For a while Chogard was the social centre of Morval Earth with the top people from all the Lawic countries there. You were the most beautiful star of all the balls and other social events. At the first feast you had the great satisfaction of putting some dwarves in their lowly place. You commented on the absence of any dwarf women there, “Are they not respectable enough to be seen in public?”

“Our women stay at home as decreed by our laws.” Explained a dwarf. “They would be appalled to be seen in the same company as such as you Elfess!”

“One perfectly understands that they would be embarrassed by belonging to race created by Polymorphia’s mistake (Magha of Monsaters)! What a pity their males are brass necked enough to appear in high society company! You dwarves can recite your fathers names back to five generations but never know the names of your grandmothers!”

The dwarves all walked out after that. Your brothers complained that you had made trouble between them and the dwarves at the War Council but what did that matter? You, like all the Ladies had been barred from the War Council! At the balls you met several of those in the Council and flirted with the more handsome ones. You told them that having the dwarves in the Host greatly diminished its ethical purity. The humans did not know the half of the stories of the wickedness and silliness of the dwarves, as recorded in the Regalis library!

Anyway the enemy brought an army to invade Gard and the host went away to meet them. You stayed in Chogard but many of the other ladies went with the host. However word then came that one of your brothers Prince Imvain had been killed and Prince Violent very badly wounded in the first clashes. Your devoted follower Silt advised you to return to Regalis. If Violent died you would be next in line to the throne, assuming your younger brother Userpy did not claim the human practise of male primogeniture! You fear that your mother Queen Avetot might support such a claim. She says you are irresponsible! Irresponsible! That really describes your sister Libroverm. Whilst you dutifully go out showing the royal presence to the populace, she hides herself in the Regalis Library! As the Kings eldest daughter you are expected to marry well but hope to spend a couple of hundred years playing the field first. Userpy is Lord of Tegalon, Regalia’s main port, so Silt recommended that you return to Regalis via Bilia, to avoid him. So you left Chogard paddling down the Undomeel in a hanoe through the night.

Just before dawn you were overtaken by two skyffs full of Elemor elves but apart from that the river was empty. Then some human women begged for assistance from the bank. They were fled from the host’s baggage train so of your great generosity you took two of them aboard. Ahead was the Catena toll collecting post and they dared to have their chain up blocking the river! You used your Royal authority to demand they lower it and they did. Just as well as Chaotic horsemen were attacking the place. However there was a fleet of human sailing vessels just behind who could assist the villagers. You proceeded onwards with the two women taking spells at the paddling although they tired easily. Having to rest the paddlers for luncheon meant that the human fleet overtook you the wind blowing fair for them. In fact they are now long out of sight and to rest the paddlers you are floating downriver with the current. Ahead you can see the towers of two either side landing stages with two cogs moored at the west bank.
