A general view of the camp and the ruins.

The camp is made up of some resin tents and odd bits and pieces.  The Nekhemite containers are tops of air fresheners.  The red thing is a toy robot part painted up to become the generator.

The view from above the camp towards the native village.  The village is a respectful distance from the ruins.

The bunkers are Inkjet cartridge containers sprayed grey, lead oxide and white.  The native huts are card and the cow pens are twigs stuck on card.

The Jaffar arrive in force and the villagers welcome them with offerings.

The Pharaoh statues were bought in the Royal Scottish Museum in Edinburgh.  The Jaffar are discontinued Eureka and MJ Figures led by a Reaper Sorceress.  The local population are a mix of Foundry Darkest Africa, Foundry Ancient Egyptians and Amazon slaves.

The UN Stargate Command troops arrive on planet.

The Stargate is made from the bubble packaging of a Harry Potter game painted grey and the detailing added with a 0.3 Edding 1800 drawing pen.  The ruins are from e-bay.  The troops are all from Mark Copplestone's Future Wars series

Major Znappschott enters the deserted camp.
The Jaffar spread out to search for the missing humans.  In doing so they came under attack from some very disgruntled monkeys in the trees who hurled fruit at them.  No casualties were incurred by either side.
The scouts disturb a grazing rhino.  They shoot as it charges them.  The impact wounds the rhino and it stops in its tracks.
Major Spontaneosi (Italian Army) alerts her troops to the approach of the Jaffar on the hill.
Sergeant Nayluck is charged by the wounded rhino (green marker).  He fires and misses as it approaches.  Instead of taking a second shot he decides to dodge the charge and is successful.  The rhino then charges on until it is exhausted and having forgotten why it charged reverts to grazing.
Bloota'c and her Jaffar on the hill come under some ineffective fire from the Italians.  They cannot see any targets (poor die rolling) and lay down some suppressive fire.
Back at the village more tribute arrives while a guard force goes to prepare the prisoners for execution or transport.
On the hill the Jaffar decide that the Italian fire is so ineffective that they can stop for a tea break!  And what else would they eat???
The firefight by the ruins continues with neither side making any effective hits.
Major Znapschott rushes towards the firing and straight into an ambush laid by Evosti'c and his scouts.  In a couple of rounds the Americans are fleeing having lost 3 killed in the crossfire.
The scouts follow up the fleeing Americans and stumble across the hiding scientists.  They are quickly taken prisoner.  Meanwhile the Italians drive back the Jaffar from the hill and keep the way to the gate open.  The British Team still hold the Gate and dial home.
Gloosti'c arrives with reinforcements for Bloota'c but she has only two Jaffar left and is no longer effectic as a unit.

Both Bloota'c and Gloosti'c are Reaper Miniatures.

Having secured their prisoners the Jaffar allow the Americans and Italians to escape covered by the British.  It is a complete victory for the System Lords!
  EQUIPMENT
The Special Transport Utility Vehicle (STUV) is the main vehicle used by my SG teams.  Actually it is the only one that I have!  That said I'm making a military version that will appear later on.

The STUV is made from card, Games Workshop wheels and a some GW extra bits acquired from my sons' bits boxes.  The wheels are attached to a 1 cm wide balsa wood strip onto which an artists' mounting card base is glued.  The front cab is card and GW bits.  The scanner is a round shield and the claw arm made from plastic sprues.

The conical containers are the caps from air freshener refills.

The crates and stuff are resin bits from Ainsty castings.  Click here to see Ainsty stuff
