DROPPING STONES

5+ to hit, str-3.  Add one to strike for each extra 4 height and deduct 1 from hit chance.  

PITS. 

The pits on the road are discovered when a Mystic Roll of 5+ is made.  Off the road then a 6 is needed.  Figures need a 7+ to cling to the edge otherwise a str-4 hit is taken.

SANGARS.

Sangars are automatically spotted at 9.   They give hard cover from the same level, and light cover from above.

MOUNTING and DISMOUNTING

Mounting/dismounting takes 4.  One horse handler for each 4 mounts is needed.  When distracted roll d10  1 for each extra mount over 4 and +1 for each less with 4+ needed to maintain control. 

WADING

The rivers can be waded by horsemen at 4.  Groups can link arms and cross at 4. 

ANIMALS

Crocodiles infest the river.  Anyone crossing rolls a d6:  4+ then d6 crocodiles attack.  If any of the crossers are casualties already the 2+ is all that is needed. If there is blood in the water then add 2 to the die roll.

Hippos are present in the reed beds.  It is breeding season.  They will attack nearest target if disturbed on a mystic roll of 4+. 

After two turns a lioness, on a d6 roll of 1, will attack untended horses.  

Any lone figure moving in the open after dark will be stalked by 2 lionesses.  Each party rolls a d10 and the difference is the separation.  Humans are relatively safe from attack a d10 roll of 8 or 9 is needed.  But the figure will flee on a d10 roll of 1-5.  The lioness will attack then.

Any lone figures will be attacked by a leopard, a lion or a lioness on a mystic roll of 1,2.  Add 1 if fleeing and deduct 1 for each accompanying figure.

A pygmy war party of a Chief, 4 spearmen and 12 archers are in ambush near the small bridge.  They will assist any runaways.  They will eat them later!
