STARGATE STARGATE

Scenario Briefing - Star Gate Team

Situation:  Six months ago the scientific team SG-21 was deployed to Planet P4G-369 following the discovery of a significant amount of easily extracted Nekhemite.  Samples and communications were regular until earlier today when the scheduled weekly update report was not received.  All attempts to establish contact have failed.  A reconnaissance drone was deployed and has indicated that the camp is deserted and is only superficially damaged or not damaged at all.  SG-21 comprises 5 civilian scientists and Close Protection personnel led by Dr Eminente.  All of the latter are ex-military.

Mission: To retrieve SG-21 in order to establish the reasons for the lost contact.

Ground: The Star Gate on P4G-369 is in an overgrown temple ruin not far to the east of the SG-21 Camp.  The terrain is rolling country with occasional rocky outcrops.  The camp is situated in a valley.  It comprises 4 accommodation and 1 store ridge tents.  There are also 4 bunker entrances from an ancient period.  None of these have been opened.

Local Population: The local population are of human African race and are generally friendly.  Their local language is an archaic form of Mogambu.  They are pastoralists and lack any form of modern weaponry.  In Earth terms they would equate to a period about the beginning of the Christian Era.  They have a vaguely Ancient Egyptian religion worshiping Wadjet the cobra headed god as do most planets where the System Lords have had their influence.

Enemy Forces: Not known.

Friendly Forces:

SG-21 5 x Civilian Scientific personnel Status unknown

 System Lord Briefing

Situation: The Planet Shuka’a stopped sending its tribute centuries ago.  It had always been assumed that the Stargate had failed or been lost.  A scout ship that was in the area detected the activation of the stargate regularly over a period of 2 weeks.  The scout ship detachment carried out a reconnaissance and found a small party of non-planetary humans.  These were not the Star Gate Command troops but scientists.  They are subverting the local people away from the worship of System Lord Wadjet.  After making their report they requested a strike team of Jaffar be landed to capture and punish them.  The mothership arrived a few hours later and they captured three humans.  It is known that there at least 2 more to be found.  At the moment the reconnaissance team and the strike team are on the planet surface with a second strike team in reserve on the mothership.  The Stargate has not yet been located.  Old data shows that it is near the settlement at some ruins.

Mission:  To capture the remaining humans in order to make a public example of all of the prisoners to the local tribes.

Ground: The Star Gate is in an overgrown temple ruin not far to the east of the SG-21 Camp.  The terrain is rolling country with occasional rocky outcrops.  The camp is situated in a valley.  It comprises 4 accommodation and 1 store ridge tents.  There are vehicle tracks but so far no vehicle has been found.  There are also 5 bunker entrances from an ancient period.  None of these have been opened.
